METHODS/TECHNIQUES

As we get to know each other, I will offer insights and make suggestions about areas that we may want to explore during our time together. Through collaboration and open dialogue, we will find an approach that works for you!

As a marriage and family therapist, I am trained in a systemic - or relational - approach to change. From the systems perspective, relationships offer a unique opportunity for us to know and experience our true selves. In my work with couples, I often use aspects of emotionally-focused and solution-focused therapies to help my clients reconnect in meaningful ways around a shared vision for the relationship. As a substance abuse counselor and individual therapist, I have learned that life's disappointments, losses, and unprocessed traumas often drive patterns of compulsive behavior (e.g., substance abuse, behavioral addictions). Unfortunately, we often don't realize where these destructive patterns came from or why these compulsions persist in our lives. In my work with individuals, I use techniques from experiential and

SESSIONS

Sessions are typically 50-minutes in duration, once a week, by appointment only - however, the frequency and duration of sessions may be collaboratively determined to best meet your needs.

 

FEES

My standard fee per session is $80.00. Payment is due at the time of service - I accept cash, check, or credit card. A reduced fee agreement may be available, on a case-by-case basis, if paying my standard fee would cause you significant financial hardship. Please ask me for details.

 

APPOINTMENTS

I value our time together and therefore your appointment time will be reserved for only you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask that you please give at least 24 hours notice.
